Honey Glazed Spiral Ham: A Sweet and Savory Showstopper

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Position a rack in the lower third of the oven.
2. Prepare the Ham:

Place the ham cut side down in a roasting pan or a large baking dish. Cover loosely with aluminum foil to prevent it from drying out.
3. Bake the Ham:

Bake the ham for 10–12 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). This usually takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours for an 8–10 pound ham.
4. Make the Glaze:

While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
5. Glaze the Ham:

Remove the ham from the oven about 20 minutes before it’s done baking. Brush the glaze generously over the entire surface of the ham, making sure to get between the slices.
Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ham to the oven, uncovered. Bake for another 15–20 minutes, basting every 5–7 minutes with additional glaze, until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
6. Rest and Serve:

Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before serving. Spoon any remaining glaze from the pan over the ham slices for extra flavor.
