Homemade Cheesy Pepper Bread

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until it becomes frothy. This activates the yeast.

Make the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and salt. Pour in the activated yeast mixture along with the vegetable oil.

Mix everything together until a dough begins to form. You can use a wooden spoon or your hands.

Once the dough starts to come together, knead it on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Add the Peppers:

Gently fold the chopped yellow, red, and green peppers into the dough, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout.

Let the Dough Rise:

Place the dough in a clean, lightly oiled bowl, and cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap.

Let it rise in a warm area for about 1-1.5 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.

Incorporate the Cheese:

Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles. Then, add the shredded braided cheese and cheddar cheese, and knead it into the dough. This will give your bread a cheesy, flavorful center.

Shape the Dough:
