Hillbilly Pie, also known as “Arme-Leute-Pie,” is a comforting and rustic dish rooted in Southern cuisine. This hearty pie, made with simple and affordable ingredients, is perfect for a filling meal. With its rich flavor and satisfying texture, it’s a dish that brings warmth to any table.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or pork (or a mixture of both)

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)

1 cup mashed potatoes (leftover or freshly made)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup beef broth or water

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 pre-made pie crust (or make your own)
