Guilt-Free Banana Oat Delights: A Sugar-Free, Flour-Free Dessert Dream

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Mash the Bananas:
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. The riper the bananas, the sweeter the treats will be, so aim for bananas with plenty of brown spots.

Combine the Ingredients:
To the mashed bananas, add the rolled oats, almond butter, applesauce, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Stir everything together until the mixture is well combined.

Add Optional Ingredients:
If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or almonds for crunch, and dark chocolate chips or dried fruit for extra flavor and sweetness. These additions are optional but highly recommended for added texture and richness.

Form the Delights:
Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small mounds or cookie shapes. Flatten them slightly with the back of the spoon.

Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the tops feel firm to the touch.

Cool and Serve:
Allow the Banana Oat Delights to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve as a snack, dessert, or breakfast treat.
