Glazed BBQ Ribs with Fried Rice and Flaky Biscuits: A Perfect Meal for Any Occasion

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the pork ribs with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Bake the Ribs:
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

Glaze the Ribs:
In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce and honey. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven, discard the foil, and brush the glaze generously over the ribs. Return the ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, basting them halfway through.

Optional Garnish:
For extra heat, sprinkle chili flakes on top before serving.

For the Fried Rice:
Cook the Veggies:
In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil (or vegetable oil) over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the diced carrots, peas, and sweet corn, cooking for 5-7 minutes until tender.

Scramble the Eggs:
Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Stir and scramble until fully cooked.

Add the Rice:
Add the cooled rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Pour the soy sauce over the rice and stir everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry the mixture for another 5 minutes, ensuring everything is evenly mixed and heated through.

For the Biscuits:
Preheat and Mix:
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the cubed cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Buttermilk:
Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the dough.

Shape the Biscuits:
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Roll it out to about 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out biscuits.

Bake the Biscuits:
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Serve warm.
