Peel and smash the garlic. Slice the ginger, onion (if using), and guava leaves. If you’re using fresh turmeric, grate it.
Boil the Ingredients:
In a small saucepan, add the water, garlic, turmeric, ginger, onion, cinnamon, and guava leaves. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Simmer the Tea:
Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. This allows all the ingredients to infuse and release their healing properties.
Strain and Serve:
After simmering, strain the tea into a cup, removing the solid ingredients.
Optional Additions:
If desired, add a teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon for sweetness and an extra burst of flavor.
