Garlic Shrimp Pasta: A Flavor-Packed Dinner in Minutes

Boil the spaghetti in salted water until tender. Add a drizzle of olive oil and fresh herbs (optional) while cooking. Save 1 cup of pasta water for later and drain the pasta. Set it aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp
While the pasta is boiling, wash the shrimp thoroughly.

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they are slightly pink and beginning to curl. Add the minced garlic to the skillet.

Step 4: Season the Shrimp
Continue to cook the shrimp for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drizzle in olive oil, and continue cooking until the shrimp are fully pink and curled.

Step 5: Combine Pasta and Shrimp
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp. Season with Italian seasoning, fresh ground pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Gradually add the saved pasta water, starting with ¼ cup, until the pasta and shrimp are well-coated but not swimming in liquid.

Step 6: Toss and Serve
Toss everything together until the ingredients are evenly combined and hot. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately and enjoy!
