In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to burn it).
Combine Steak and Sauce:
Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter for 1 minute. Stir in parsley and red pepper flakes (if using).
Serve:
Spoon the mashed potatoes onto plates and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with parsley or chives if desired.
