Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Mash: A Perfect Comfort Meal

Start by boiling the peeled and chopped potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Adjust the seasoning if needed. Set aside and keep warm.
Cook the Steak Bites:

While the potatoes are cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until the steak is browned and cooked to your preferred level of doneness (for medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130°F/54°C).
Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Add the butter to the skillet and stir to coat the steak bites in the garlic butter sauce. Let it melt and simmer for another minute, making sure the steak is well coated in the sauce.
Serve:

Plate the mashed potatoes and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Spoon any remaining garlic butter sauce over the top for extra flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy!
