Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Melt the Butter:
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until just foamy.
Cook the Garlic:
Add minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
Cook the Shrimp:
Turn heat up to medium-high. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until shrimp are pink and opaque.
Add Flavor and Finish:
Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss shrimp to coat in the buttery sauce. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Serve:
Plate immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
