Garlic Butter Baked Scallops

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the scallops in a single layer in a baking dish or on a rimmed baking sheet. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
3. Prepare the Topping:
In another small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.
4. Assemble the Scallops:
Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each scallop, ensuring they’re well-coated.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture on top of each scallop.
5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and firm to the touch, and the breadcrumb topping is golden and crispy.
6. Serve:
Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh citrusy kick. Garnish with additional fresh parsley if desired.
