Galette des Rois (King Cake): A Regal French Delight

The Galette des Rois, or “King Cake,” is a traditional French pastry enjoyed during Epiphany to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings. With its flaky layers of golden puff pastry and rich almond cream filling (frangipane), this dessert is as indulgent as it is festive. Hidden inside is a small charm or “fève,” turning the cake into a fun tradition—whoever finds it is crowned king or queen for the day!
