In a large skillet or frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until browned and crispy. Remove the sausage from the pan and set it aside.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside with the sausage.
Sauté the Garlic and Cabbage:
Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and stir to combine. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes, until the cabbage begins to soften and lightly caramelize.
Season the Dish:
Sprinkle the cabbage with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir to evenly coat the cabbage with the seasonings.
Combine Everything:
Return the cooked sausage and shrimp to the pan with the cabbage. Stir to combine everything and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Serve and Garnish:
Serve the fried cabbage mixture hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
