Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion & Garlic: A Flavorful, Comforting Side Dish

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the onion & garlic:

In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the onion until soft. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Cook the cabbage:

Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir well to coat it with the flavors. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
Season & finish:

Stir in smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. If you’re using apple cider vinegar, add it now. Return the bacon to the pan and mix everything together.
