Fluffy, Soft Dinner Rolls – A Must-Try for Any Occasion!

Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, salt, and beaten egg. Once the yeast mixture is ready, add it to this bowl and stir until combined.

Add the flour: Gradually add the flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms. Once it’s incorporated, knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this process.

First rise: Lightly oil a clean bowl, place the dough inside, and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Shape the rolls: Punch the dough down and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll.

Second rise: Cover the rolls with a clean cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until they’ve doubled in size.

Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool and serve: Let the rolls cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack. Serve warm!
