Fluffy Homemade Buns: Soft, Pillowy Perfection!

In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the yeast mixture, softened butter, salt, and egg. Add the flour gradually, stirring until a dough begins to form. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
First Rise:

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Shape the Buns:

Punch down the dough to release the air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place the buns on a greased baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Second Rise:

Cover the buns with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy and doubled in size.
Bake the Buns:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Finish and Serve:

Remove the buns from the oven and brush with melted butter for a soft, shiny finish, if desired. Let them cool slightly before serving.
