Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Turn it out onto a floured surface and shape it into a loaf or divide it into smaller rolls, depending on your preference.
Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet if you’re making rolls.
Second Rise:
Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until it has puffed up.
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brush the top of the dough with a beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish (optional).
Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Cool and Serve:
Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice and enjoy with butter, jam, or simply on its own!
