Make the Filling – In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, cream cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined. Stir in shredded cheddar if using.
Prepare the Crescent Rolls – Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
Fill and Roll – Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the crescent from the wide end to the tip, sealing the filling inside.
Bake – Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish (optional). Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
