Effortless 4-Ingredient Bread Rolls

Activate the Yeast:
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle in the instant yeast and let it sit for 5–10 minutes, until it foams up.

Form the Dough:
Gradually add the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic (you can use your hands or a stand mixer with a dough hook).

First Rise:
Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Shape and Second Rise:
Punch down the dough and divide it into 8–12 equal portions. Shape into rolls and place them on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Let rise again for 30–40 minutes.

Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown. Optionally, brush with melted butter for a soft, shiny finish.
