Easy Family Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry: A Quick and Healthy Meal

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or brown sugar), and the cornstarch mixture. Set aside.

Cook the Chicken:
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.

Stir Fry the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
Add the onion and broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Add the garlic and ginger (if using) and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Combine the Chicken and Sauce:
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over everything. Stir well to coat the chicken and vegetables in the sauce. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Serve:
Serve the stir fry hot, over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
