Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Add Wet Ingredients:
Add the buttermilk (and melted butter if using) to the dry ingredients. Stir until the mixture is just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Bake the Bread:
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
