Delicious Breakfast Bread – Simple and Fast!

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir to dissolve and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Mix the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the dough begins to come together.

Knead the Dough:
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

Let the Dough Rise:
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Shape the Dough:
After the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into a loaf. Place the dough onto a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.

Final Rise:
Let the shaped dough rise for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour, until it becomes puffed up.

Bake the Bread:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Cool and Serve:
Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy while still warm with butter, jam, or your favorite spread!
