Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Beef:
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat.
Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the beef, stir well, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Taco Cups:
Lightly brush both sides of the tortillas with olive oil.
Using a cookie cutter or a glass, cut the tortillas into smaller rounds that fit into a muffin tin. Press each round into a muffin cup to create a taco shell shape.
Bake the Taco Cups:
Place the tortilla rounds into the muffin tin and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until they’re crispy and golden. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t burn.
Assemble the Taco Cups:
Once the taco shells are baked, spoon the seasoned beef mixture into each cup. Top with shredded cheese and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese is melted.
Add Toppings:
After removing the taco cups from the oven, add your favorite toppings: lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, green onions, and jalapeño slices.
Serve:
Serve the taco cups immediately, and enjoy the crispy, flavorful goodness!
