Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

Place the chicken breasts, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, carrots, celery, onion, thyme, garlic powder, and black pepper into the crockpot.
Stir to combine and make sure the chicken is fully submerged in the broth.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.
2. Shred the Chicken:

Once the chicken is cooked through, carefully remove it from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
Return the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and stir to mix with the broth and vegetables.
3. Add the Dumplings:

Tear the biscuit dough into small pieces and drop them on top of the chicken mixture in the crockpot.
Do not stir after adding the dough, as you want the dumplings to stay on top and steam as they cook.
4. Cook the Dumplings:

Cover the crockpot and cook on high for an additional 1 hour, or until the dumplings are cooked through and have puffed up. If you prefer slightly crispy dumplings, you can leave the lid off for the last 15 minutes of cooking.
5. Serve:

Once the dumplings are cooked, give the mixture a gentle stir. Serve the chicken and dumplings hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
