Crocant Homemade Bread: Crispy on the Outside, Soft on the Inside

In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar, then let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy and bubbly.

Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, add 500g of flour (adjust as needed for dough consistency). Gradually pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough:
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let It Rise:
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Shape and Bake:
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Cool and Serve:
Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy the crispy, soft goodness!
