Crispy Honey Chicken (Better Than Takeout Every Time)

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg, then coat them in the flour mixture. Ensure each piece is fully covered.

Fry the Chicken:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Prepare the Honey Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes).

Coat the Chicken:
Once the sauce is ready, add the crispy chicken pieces to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the honey sauce. Allow the chicken to cook in the sauce for another 1-2 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.

Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the Crispy Honey Chicken over steamed rice, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired. Enjoy the crispy, sweet, and savory goodness!
