Season the chicken fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken fillets and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the chopped garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (but not browned). Pour in the whipping cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the Parmesan:
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
Combine and Serve:
Return the chicken fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for 2 more minutes to heat through. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
