Creamy Garlic Butter Steak with Mushroom Sauce

Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the Steaks:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness (use a meat thermometer if necessary). Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside to rest.

Make the Mushroom Sauce:
Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Cook the Mushrooms:
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they’re softened and golden brown.

Prepare the Creamy Sauce:
Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Combine Steak and Sauce:
Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the top, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to reheat the steaks and allow the flavors to meld together.

Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with your favorite side dish!
