Creamy Chickpea Spread for Sandwiches, Salads, and Veggies

If using canned chickpeas, rinse and drain them. If using cooked chickpeas, ensure they’re well-drained.

Blend the Ingredients:
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt. Pulse until smooth.

Adjust Consistency:
With the food processor running, slowly add ice water one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired spreadable consistency.

Finish with Olive Oil:
Drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil while blending to add a silky finish.

Serve:
Transfer the spread to a bowl and serve immediately or refrigerate for later use. This spread works great as a dip for veggies, a spread on sandwiches, or a topping for fresh salads.
