Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Rub the Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest before slicing it into thin strips.
Step 2: Prepare the Pasta
While the chicken is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook your chosen pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti) according to package instructions.
Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce
In the same skillet, add the sliced red bell pepper and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the bell pepper softens and the garlic becomes fragrant.
Add the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 4-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried oregano. If you like some extra heat, add red pepper flakes.
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper as needed.
Step 4: Combine the Pasta and Chicken
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the creamy sauce to coat the noodles well. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
Slice the cooked chicken and add it to the pasta, tossing gently to combine everything.
Step 5: Serve
Divide the pasta into serving bowls and garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy, flavorful Cajun chicken pasta!
