Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken slices with Cajun seasoning. This adds a bold, spicy flavor to the chicken.

Cook the Pasta: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.

Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden and nearly cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.

Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, letting the sauce thicken slightly, which should take about 3-4 minutes.

Combine Everything: Return the chicken to the skillet and stir in the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix everything well until it is heated through and the sauce coats the pasta and chicken.

Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
