Cowboy Baked Beans

Cook the Bacon and Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté the Onion: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until softened.

Combine the Beans: In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, kidney beans, and butter beans.

Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder.

Mix Everything Together: Add the cooked bacon, ground beef, sautéed onions, and sauce to the beans. Stir everything together until well combined.

Bake the Beans: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the bean mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
