Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
2. Make the Casserole Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Add the cooked chicken and cooked noodles to the bowl. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
3. Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the chicken and noodle mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
If using breadcrumbs, melt the butter in a small pan and toss the breadcrumbs to coat. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
4. Bake:
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
