Classic Chicken Fried Steak Fingers

Prep the Steak Fingers: Cut the cube steak into strips about 2-3 inches wide. Set aside.

Season the Flour: In a shallow dish, mix the flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Dip in Buttermilk: Pour the buttermilk into a separate shallow dish. Dip each steak strip into the buttermilk, making sure it’s fully coated.

Coat with Flour: After dipping in buttermilk, dredge each steak strip in the seasoned flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks.

Fry the Steak Fingers: Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the steak fingers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
