Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs, if needed, to ensure tenderness.
Season the ribs with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2: Make the Citrus Glaze
In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and ground ginger.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Let the glaze simmer for 10-15 minutes, until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Ribs
Place the ribs on a large baking sheet, bone-side down.
Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until they are tender and easily pull apart with a fork.
During the last 30 minutes of baking, baste the ribs with the citrus glaze every 10 minutes to build up the flavor and create a sticky, caramelized finish.
Step 4: Finish the Ribs
After baking, remove the ribs from the oven and discard the foil.
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Transfer the ribs to the grill and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, brushing with more glaze as you go, until the ribs develop a nice caramelized crust.
Step 5: Serve
Once the ribs are grilled to your liking, remove from heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with a garnish of fresh parsley or cilantro. Optionally, serve with extra orange slices for a burst of freshness.
