Cinnamon Sugar Twist Doughnuts

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, melted butter, and egg. Add the foamy yeast mixture and stir to combine.
Gradually mix in the flour and salt, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
Step 2: Let the Dough Rise
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 3: Shape the Doughnuts
Punch down the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface.
Cut the dough into strips and twist each strip into a spiral.
Step 4: Fry the Doughnuts
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the twists in batches until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
Step 5: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
While still warm, toss each doughnut in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
Serve warm and enjoy!
