Chinese Beef and Onion Stir Fry

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Toss to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

2️⃣ Prepare the Stir-Fry Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and 1/4 cup of water or beef broth. Set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.

4️⃣ Stir-Fry the Onions and Aromatics:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until the onions begin to soften and become fragrant.

5️⃣ Combine and Simmer:
Return the cooked beef to the skillet, then add the stir-fry sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. If you prefer a bit of spice, add the red pepper flakes at this point.

6️⃣ Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve the beef stir fry over a bed of cooked rice.
