Chicken Cordon Bleu | Crispy and Deliciously Stuffed Chicken Rolls

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper and use a meat mallet to pound them thin to an even thickness.

Assemble the Roll-Ups:

Lay one slice of ham on each chicken breast, then place a slice of cheese on top of the ham.

Carefully roll each chicken breast tightly, securing the filling inside. Use toothpicks to hold the rolls together, if necessary.

Coating the Roll-Ups:

In one shallow dish, place the flour. In a second dish, whisk the eggs and milk together to create an egg wash. In a third dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Dredge each chicken roll-up first in the flour, then dip it in the egg wash, and finally coat it with the seasoned breadcrumbs.

Baking:

Place the coated chicken roll-ups on a greased baking sheet. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of each roll-up to ensure extra crispiness.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F) and the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.

Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with a side of creamy cheese sauce for dipping.
