Chewy Chocolate Slice – A Fudgy, Irresistible Treat

In a medium-sized bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Wet Mixture

In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 3: Combine the Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined. The batter should be thick but smooth.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and milk until evenly distributed. The milk helps create a fudgy texture, so don’t skip it!
Step 4: Bake the Slice

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The top should be set, and the edges should be slightly cracked.
Step 5: Cool and Serve

Let the chocolate slice cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired and cut into squares or slices. Serve and enjoy!
