Cherry Pie Bars

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spray a 15x10x1-inch pan with non-stick spray.
Cream the Butter & Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the Eggs:
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.
Stir in the vanilla extract and almond extract.
Combine the Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until well combined.
Assemble the Bars:
Spread 3 cups of the batter evenly over the bottom of the prepared pan.
Top with the cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly.
Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the cherry filling.
Bake:
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
If using a 9×13-inch pan, adjust the baking time accordingly (it may take longer).
Cool:
Let the bars cool completely on a wire rack.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and milk until smooth.
Drizzle & Serve:
Once the bars have cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
Let the glaze set, then cut into squares and serve.
