Cherry Dr Pepper Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Devil’s Food Cake mix with 1 1/2 cups of Cherry Dr Pepper. Stir until the ingredients are just combined, but be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the maraschino cherries, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Make the Frosting (Optional):

While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting. In a bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, cherry juice, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.

Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the frosting over the top of the cake.

Serve and Enjoy:

Slice the cake into squares and serve. The combination of chocolate and cherry flavors is irresistible!
