Cheesy Scalloped Potato Bake with Bacon and Beef


In a skillet, cook ground beef with chopped onion and your preferred seasonings. Drain excess grease once meat is fully cooked.

Prepare the Sauce Mix:
In a separate bowl, prepare the seasoning/sauce packet from the scalloped potatoes according to package directions.

Mix the Filling:
In a bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with the can of cream of potato soup. Stir to combine.

Assemble in Baking Dish:
In a greased 13×9-inch pan, layer the uncooked scalloped potatoes from the box evenly across the bottom. Spread the beef and potato soup mixture on top of the potatoes. Then, pour the prepared sauce mixture over everything.

First Bake:
Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.

Cook the Bacon:
While the dish is baking, cut bacon into small pieces and cook until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Add Toppings and Finish Baking:
After 25 minutes, remove the pan from the oven. Sprinkle cooked bacon pieces and shredded cheese over the top. Return to oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve:
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this creamy, cheesy comfort food classic!
