Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites: A Gooey, Savory Snack for Any Occasion

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
Use your hands to form small bite-sized balls (about 1-inch in diameter) of the cheese mixture. Place them on a tray or plate lined with parchment paper.
2. Set Up the Breading Station:

In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg until well-beaten.
In a separate shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
3. Coat the Cheese Bites:

Roll each cheese ball first in the flour mixture, making sure it’s fully coated.
Dip the floured cheese ball into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s completely covered.
Finally, roll the cheese ball in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks well.
4. Fry the Bites:

Heat oil in a deep skillet or pan over medium heat. You want the oil to be hot enough to fry but not smoking. To test, drop a small piece of bread into the oil—if it sizzles, it’s ready.
Carefully add the breaded cheese balls to the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Use a slotted spoon to remove the bites from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
5. Serve:

Once the bites have cooled slightly, transfer them to a serving plate. If desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color.
Serve with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
