Cheesy Ground Beef and Rice Casserole – A Hearty, Comforting Classic

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Cook the Beef Mixture
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 3: Simmer the Rice
Stir in the rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
Step 4: Add Creaminess and Cheese
Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream and half of the cheddar cheese.
Step 5: Bake to Perfection
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
