Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the artisan bread into sandwich-sized pieces.
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and parsley (if using).
Spread the garlic parmesan butter mixture generously on the cut sides of the bread slices.
Place the bread slices on a baking sheet, buttered side up, and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy.
2. Prepare the Cheesesteak Filling:
Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the sliced ribeye steak (or ground beef). Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (if using).
Cook the steak until it’s browned and cooked through (about 5-6 minutes for ribeye or until the beef is fully cooked if using ground beef). Mix the vegetables and meat together.
3. Assemble the Sandwich:
Once the bread is toasted, layer the cheesesteak filling onto one slice of the garlic parmesan bread.
Place 2 slices of provolone cheese (or your preferred cheese) on top of the filling.
Top with the other slice of garlic parmesan bread, pressing down lightly to hold everything together.
4. Serve:
Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately while warm and cheesy.
