Butter Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Cream the Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes using an electric mixer.

Add the Eggs:
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Make sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.

Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the butter and sugar mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve:
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and enjoy!
