Butter Cake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a round pan with butter and sprinkle with a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
Step 2: Beat the Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Add the Eggs
Add the eggs, one by one, beating well after each addition to achieve a fluffy texture.
Step 4: Add the Vanilla
Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
Step 5: Mix the Dry and Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together.
Gradually add this dry mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk, and mix gently until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
Step 6: Pour into the Pan
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
Step 7: Bake
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 8: Cool
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
