Bourbon-Glazed Meatloaf Delight

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined but don’t overwork the meat.

Transfer the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

2. Make the Bourbon Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine the ketchup, bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.

Heat over medium heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly.

3. Bake the Meatloaf:
Spoon about 1/3 of the bourbon glaze over the meatloaf, spreading it evenly across the top.

Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through (an internal temperature of 160°F/71°C).

About 10 minutes before the meatloaf is finished baking, spoon more of the bourbon glaze over the top and return it to the oven to finish cooking.

4. Rest and Serve:
Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve with a drizzle of the remaining bourbon glaze and your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
