Bold Texas Roadhouse Steak Rub: A Flavorful Homemade Seasoning for Perfectly Grilled Steaks

In a small bowl, combine all of the spices: brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper (if using), mustard, and thyme.
Mix Well:

Stir the mixture until everything is evenly incorporated.
Apply to Steak:

Pat your steak dry with paper towels. Generously rub the seasoning mixture onto both sides of the steak. Press the rub into the meat to help it adhere.
Rest the Steak:

Let the steak rest for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature to allow the seasoning to penetrate the meat before cooking.
Cook as Desired:

Grill, pan-sear, or broil the steak to your preferred level of doneness.
