Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry: A Bold and Flavorful Dish

In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar.
Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to soak in.
Step 2: Cook the Stir-Fry
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.
Add the marinated beef to the pan, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same pan, add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables start to soften.
If using mushrooms, add them to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until tender.
Step 3: Add the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a little cornstarch if you want a thicker sauce.
Return the beef to the pan, and pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle in the freshly ground black pepper, adjusting the amount to your preferred spice level. Stir to incorporate the pepper into the sauce.
Step 4: Serve
Serve the black pepper beef stir-fry hot over steamed jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions for an extra pop of flavor.
